Level 3 · Advanced Advanced

Goal: design for failure — high availability, disaster recovery, containerized deployment patterns, and the ideas behind infrastructure as code.

Modules

  1. High Availability Concepts (redundancy, failover, health checks)
  2. DNS & Load Balancer HA Patterns
  3. Backup & Disaster Recovery Strategy
  4. Containerization Basics (Docker) as a Deployment Pattern
  5. Infrastructure as Code Overview
  6. Configuration Drift & Idempotency
  7. Service Mesh & Internal Networking Concepts
  8. Chaos Engineering Basics
  9. Observability at Scale (metrics, logs, traces)
  10. Capstone — Highly Available Web Service Design

Work through the modules in order — HA concepts and DNS/LB patterns set up the vocabulary, backups and IaC give you the tools to rebuild and recover, and the capstone has you design a full highly-available web service from the primitives covered along the way.
