Level 1 · Entry Foundations

Goal: understand what Workday is and how it's organized, get comfortable navigating the UI, learn the core HCM building blocks (organizations, supervisory orgs, positions, workers), understand how business processes drive every transaction, and walk through staffing, compensation, reporting, security, and integrations at a conceptual level — finishing with a paper design exercise that ties it all together.

By the end of this level you'll understand Workday's core data model and navigation model, be able to read and reason about a supervisory organization, know how a business process routes a transaction through approvals, and have produced a real deliverable: a paper design for a small company's org structure and its Hire business process.
